Terms and Conditions of hire

We are a non-smoking venue
Because our venue is a pine forest, the risk of fire is significant. We are therefore a 100% no smoking venue. We also ask that you don't smoke outside the forest gate or along Brookman Road. It is also expected that you will communicate this to your guests. We reserve the right to eject any person who does not observe this rule and additional fees will apply. The CFS also imposes penalties of $1,250 for any person who smokes or disposes of cigarettes in the Kuitpo region during fire season.
It also means we have a few limitations around the types of catering which can be used for receptions. However, we have a number of fantastic caterers who are familiar with our forest and our requirements, so please get in touch with us for further information!
rubbish
To protect and maintain the natural beauty of our forest, we ask that you leave Burbrook Forest as you find it. This means you are expected to remove all rubbish when you leave. We also don't allow any confetti, party poppers, rose petals or rice. Cleaning fees will apply if the site requires cleaning after use.
Cancellations
We understand that plans can change! However, we do maintain a cancellation policy to reflect the work we do in helping you secure your date with us and because your booking means others miss out!
For ceremonies, cancellations made anytime up to 30 days prior to the date of your wedding will incur the loss of the non-refundable component of your booking fee. No refunds are available if cancellations are made within 30 days of the wedding.

For receptions, cancellations made anytime up to 30 days prior to the date of your wedding will incur the loss of your deposit. No refunds are available if cancellations are made within 30 days of the wedding.
How do I secure a booking?

In order to secure a booking you will need to complete our hire contract and pay a booking fee. Unfortunately, we do not hold dates without a formal booking being made.
